As you know two of the biggest telecom operators in India have launched their 5G services in India covering almost all towns and villages whereas Vodafone idea is constantly working towards launching their 5g services.
BSNL is left for behind in this race as it is still operating on 2g and 3g network in 2024. There are only few places where you can see their 4g network other than that they are still stucked at 3g or 2g which is decades old technologies. There is a new hope coming for BSNL users after the hike of plan rates of private operators like Jio, Airtel and Vi, they have increased their plan rates upto 25% and people are porting their number to bsnl so that they can save money despite the fact that the network of BSNL is not at all capable of handling modern internet needs.
Now, In August 2024 some very big news and reports are coming that BSNL is working really hard to bring their 4g and 5g services together in late 2024 to early 2025 with the help of Tata Consultancy Services (A deal of 15000 crores has been done between TCS and BSNL) to bring superfast Internet in the country.
Telecom minister recently tested BSNL 5g recently with a video call showing him talking to a lady with the help of 5g network which is developed by BSNL domestically in India itself.
lets hope we get bsnl 5g soon so that the Monopoly of these private companies can end
