In this post we are going to talk about researching for YouTube videos and how you can do it easily and get fresh and unique content for years, I am the right person to tell you this because I am running multiple YouTube channels from past 10+ years. So, research level, source and knowledge varies on different factors like your niche, your experience in the niche and how long and detailed video you want to make.

If you have basic prior knowledge of your niche then it would be very easy to seek topics and things that you should consider adding to your next video or search for latest trend on that niche. So the first step is to be honest with your niche first and keep updated knowledge, You must know what to search before starting your research.
- For Tech creators: Stay updated with latest launches, Internet trends, and what’s going on in news and make videos around these topics. Use your knowledge and trends to make new topics, ask your viewers what they want to see. Focus on latest launches and major events of Apple and Google.
- For vlogging try to explore trending places in your city, newly opened places doing great on others channels, vlogging is not always based on trending things but based on your life and your connection with audience, document your life, your places, people and whatever you do new in life.
- For Cooking Channel try to make things according to season and what’s already working, Like sweets in festival season, things using seasonal vegetables so that people would watch it and think that it is relatable and useful. Try to follow everything in your niche that is going on trend and gaining views for others.
- For Makeup channels you need to make videos what people are searching and you can take help from similar niche creators along with other resources like blogs, professional skin care experts and their social media handles, dermatologists and what they recommend, search for trending makeup items and type of makeups and make videos about them, use festivals for your topics and make videos on different looks like makeup for diwali, makeup for karwa chauth etc.. you can also try evergreen topics like party makeup, wedding makeup or getting ready with me.
- For Gardening creators you can search for seasonal plants and flowers that people can sow in particular month, talk about their care, fertilizers etc. The main essence here is to look for the correct time for the correct type of relatable content and your will get more views and more topics to make videos on.
- For reaction channels you need to look for trending videos and something which is going viral on either on YouTube or Instagram and react on that, reaction channels don’t make good revenue because of copyright issues but you can make original content later on and make money once you gain decent audience on your channel.
- For podcast like channel you can approach people similar to your niche and talk with them and shoot the entire conversation or you can try contacting famous people via email. If your proposal looks mutually beneficial then they might reply you. You need a good setup if you are going to invite them to your place.
