How to make Facebook Page and Make money with it ? Facebook Monetization Explained

In this post I will explain how you can make money with Facebook Pages and Meta’s Monetization program and is it better than YouTube or you can actually make living out of it? Let’s find out.

Facebook is a very big platform and it was created to stay connected with your friends and family and the main way for Meta to earn was to show ads from brands and make money with it, this method is still used today along with many subscription model and so on.

After successful monetization program and creator economy of YouTube, Facebook created a separate section for videos and now you can watch videos on your Facebook app just like YouTube. The main problem arises that there were very less good video creators and people were reposting things which was already available on different platforms like YouTube or short video platform like TikTok.

To solve this Meta invited influencers and content creators on their platform Facebook to make exclusive videos and make money with it, they also created a gaming ecosystem where you can livestream your gaming and make money with it. I personally know many influencers who only make videos on Facebook and make good money out of it but they always report a problem which makes Facebook a not so trustworthy platform for regular money making as the earning fluctuated a lot and you cannot get regular stream of income. It is very difficult to understand Meta’s algorithm so creators actually don’t know what works and what not and that means they end up getting less views sometimes and as a result less money.

Conclusion
Facebook is a great secondary platform for making money and to get more influence, if you are already a successful creator on any other platform then you can make more content or re-upload behind the scenes or short videos on Facebook and generate extra source of income.

I have tried uploading on Facebook regularly and in first few months I got good income but later on my views decreased and so my income.

 
Things I have learnt from uploading regular videos on my Facebook page are as follows:-

1. Meta’s Algorithm is very dynamic and you can crack it to make things work always so there will be no regular stream of income.
2. Meta or Facebook does not want any creator to crack what works and what not so that all creators get chance and not only the big creators.
3. Regular uploading is the key here, you upload daily and all of a sudden a normal video will go viral from nowhere. You will try to find out what is special in this video but at the end of the day you won’t be able to find out anything. So do not try to find that out and keep making good and shareable content as viral content spread there like a wildfire.
