OK so in this post I’m going to talk about Atlas OS it’s a decluttered version of standard windows version where you ditch some very rare very less used components like Microsoft Edge nobody uses Microsoft Edge these days and some other applications as well that are not very necessary for your daily computer needs. in the beginning these guys introduced A standalone operating system or you can say a decluttered standalone operating system named as Atlas goes but technically they were distributing a copy of windows which was wrong so Microsoft Windows pushed them to stop the distribution process and then they introduced and they I mean Atlas os team a software or a piece of software that turns your standard windows version into a decluttered version of Windows or you can say windows Lite it’s very powerful and you can use latest Windows 10 on your decade old computer but there are some negative sides as well you might lose security feature introduced by Microsoft or you will lose Windows Defender so that will leave your system vulnerable to basic viruses or malware to fix this you can install a separate antivirus from any well known manufacturer or supplier.
Windows is known to be heavily cluttered with some waste software and bloatware like Spotify, clipchamp and what not and these software makes your computer very slow and hence you don’t get enough free resources to do your tasks on your machine. So this is a very powerful tool but make sure you use it in your secondary machine as this software is still in beta state and some features of windows might not work.
Is Atlas Os good for gaming?
The answer is very simple, Anything that makes your computer faster and decluttered will help you to boost some fps which can be very beneficial if you are using a old machine. But make sure you don’t keep your private data in that computer as I personally don’t trust these third party modifications and these don’t hold a very good reputation in my mind. Apart from that, this tool is a worth try on your old machine and in coming days this can kill use of linux as people often use linux in their old machines where that can’t use windows os in it.
