So have you ever thought why India doesn’t make smartphones? Oh if you are thinking that Redmi and Samsung are made in INDIA then let me tell you a fact that they are only assembled in India and all their parts come from China or Korea. People have the misconception that India manufacture smartphones and companies who claim that they are truly Indian smartphone companies and hiding something very important from us. In India, we can easily make smartphone covers, even their outer body, and screen as well but we can’t make CPU chips. Yes, Brain and processing part of any computer and smartphone and we are sadly 25 years behind on this CPU manufacturing race.
The reason behind this is we don’t wanna invest on a machine which is used to fabricate small mobile processors and countries like china is greatly investing in making their own processors and other stuff that can be made with this machine. A dutch company called ASML is having a share of 85% in making these machines and companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Samsung but these machines from ASML. China is buying these machines and making factories worth more than 700 fighter jets to impower their economy because they know future rely on these processors and mobile phone production whereas in India we are not doing so. Small companies in India can’t afford this machine as it is very expensive.
